Remember driving school? You drove around in a little car plastered with “Student Driver” stickers and your driving instructor had a break pedal at his or her disposal Justin case. And then there was that written test you had to take…getting ready to get out on the road was no small thing

When it comes to boating there are procedures you must follow, but there are not quite so many hoops to jump through. For this reason, the Great Lakes Yacht Club wants to introduce newbies to the rules of the road and provide a refresher course for old-timers.

Join Ted Everingham and your fellow area boaters tonight, March 5 at 7 pm for some “edutainment” on the rules and regulations of boating. You’ll learn all about how you can avoid getting into arguments and collisions with your fellow boaters. There are intersections on the water just as there are intersections on the roads and you want to be equipped to handle passing, meeting, and crossing.
