Earlier this week, on Monday, I was featured in a New York Times article that highlighted the sadly, still present foreclosure crisis in the U.S.
If you haven't heard, Ed McMahon (of the Johnny Carson Show and Publisher's Clearinghouse) is facing foreclosure. I offered to help him and have our forensic team go over his mortgage file, at no cost to him.
You may or may not know that I once went through foreclosure myself. So I approach the issue of foreclosure as someone who has been through it. I know exactly how it feels to lose your home. And I know that I made a lot of mistakes. This is why I want to help others to avoid the pain of foreclosure if I can.
I am the author of several of those “For Dummies” books you’ve probably seen in bookstores. My titles include: “Flipping Houses for Dummies,” (2006) “Foreclosure Investing for Dummies,” (2007) and “Foreclosure Self-Defense for Dummies” (2008).
My next book,“Foreclosure Myths: 77 Secrets to Saving You Thousands on Distressed Properties,” will be available in August.
