Macomb County departments earn Farm Bureau award
November 29, 2006 by development commentMOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. –Macomb County’s Planning & Economic Development Department and Michigan State University Extension office were presented with the Farm Bureau Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award for 2006.










The Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center regional office, hosted by the Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development, is one of 12 regional offices statewide providing services and support to the small business community in Macomb and St. Clair Counties.
Focus Macomb is a group of approximately 100 leaders representing business, education, healthcare and government in Macomb County. The group is charged with the task of examining issues that impact the county and making recommendations for improvements. The group will present their strategies to the Macomb County Board of Commissioners.
Community reps. will be seeking input on the draft watershed plan which outlines how school districts and local communities plan to restore and protect local water quality. The draft watershed plan can be viewed on the online at
