There is nothing quite so delicious as a ripe, juicy Michigan peach. Macomb County, Michigan residents can eat their fill of the luscious fruit this weekend at the 76th Annual Michigan Peach Festival in Romeo, Michigan. The festivities begin on Thursday, August 30 and run through Monday, September 3.

When the Tigers need a boost and the fans start chanting, "Stand Up Detroit!" you can thank one of Macomb County, Michigan's own for his creative tunemanship. The words and music to the new Tigers anthem were written by Christopher Doliber, 49, of Macomb Township.

A former songwriter and bass player with the 1980s metal band MadamX, Doliber wrote "Stand Up Detroit" in the same vein at Queen's sports staple "We Will Rock You." At the Cleveland game, the new tune had the crowd of 40,000 on their feet chanting.

The eighth annual Bath City Festival is in full swing in Macomb County, Michigan this weekend. Kicking off Friday, August 24 and continuing through Saturday, August, 25, you can join the fun in downtown Mt. Clemens, Michigan. The festival celebrates Mt. Clemens history and is named for its early reputation as the Mineral Bath Capital of the World.

Dubbed the Best Little Country Fair in Michigan, the 135th Annual Armada Fair opens in Macomb County, Michigan this week. The fair kicks off Tuesday, August 14 and runs through Sunday, August 19.

Every year the Armada Fair brings the community together to celebrate agricultural achievements, educate and promote agriculture, give our youth a chance to shine, and just have some good old country fun. As always, you'll find lots to do at the fair.
