There is nothing quite so delicious as a ripe, juicy Michigan peach. Macomb County, Michigan residents can eat their fill of the luscious fruit this weekend at the 76th Annual Michigan Peach Festival in Romeo, Michigan. The festivities begin on Thursday, August 30 and run through Monday, September 3.

The latest in Boomer birthdays is the Giving Gift. Instead of feting the birthday honoree with gifts, friends gather to give a gift in their friend's name. Recently an Ohio woman met six friends at the local Red Cross office where they donated blood to celebrate her birthday. They toasted the birthday girl with glasses of orange juice! In Georgia a group celebrated their friend's birthday with cake for the crew during a Habitat for Humanity work day.

The Macomb County Health Department reminds you to schedule your family's annual immunizations before school starts.  

Sterling Heights brings Macomb County, Michigan residents a feast for the ears, eyes and palate this week. The annual Sterlingfest Art & Jazz Fair will be swinging at City Center from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. this Thursday through Saturday, August 2-4. City Center is located at Dodge Park and Utica Roads in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
