The eighth annual Bath City Festival is in full swing in Macomb County, Michigan this weekend. Kicking off Friday, August 24 and continuing through Saturday, August, 25, you can join the fun in downtown Mt. Clemens, Michigan. The festival celebrates Mt. Clemens history and is named for its early reputation as the Mineral Bath Capital of the World.

Learn about Macomb County, Michigan water resources while enjoying a relaxing cruise on the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair. The annual MSU Extension cruise casts off Tuesday, August 28, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. Boarding starts at 12:30 p.m. at the Clinton River Cruise Company located at 152 North River Road in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Cost is $20 for adults and $12 for youth ages 7 to 17. Children under 7 are not permitted to attend. Light refreshments will be available for purchase during the cruise. Reservations are required; for information, call 586-469-6430.

Dubbed the Best Little Country Fair in Michigan, the 135th Annual Armada Fair opens in Macomb County, Michigan this week. The fair kicks off Tuesday, August 14 and runs through Sunday, August 19.

Every year the Armada Fair brings the community together to celebrate agricultural achievements, educate and promote agriculture, give our youth a chance to shine, and just have some good old country fun. As always, you'll find lots to do at the fair.

Macomb County children and adults are choosing to Step Up to the Plate at the Macomb County Library, hoping to hit one out of the park as part of a new national literacy program. One lucky slugger may hit a home run and win the national prize, a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

There are new home buyers shopping to buy a vacant lot now and build later, when times get better. In today's Macomb County real estate, you can buy a lot from a builder or developer for a song. Generally, they wouldn't sell a parcel to you because it cuts into their profits of building a home for you.
