Parkinson’s disease is classified as a movement disorder. Sufferers experience muscle rigidity, tremors and their ability to move slows down. Sadly, it is both chronic and progressive.
The Michigan Parkinson Foundation invited you to participate in the annual "I Gave My Sole for Parkinson's Walk-a-Thon and 5K Run."The event will take place this upcoming Saturday, June 7, at the South Lake Schools Athletic Field.

This is a pet-friendly, kid-friendly, family-friendly event. There will be lots of smiles and lots of snacks as the community gathers to raise funds for a very worthy cause. It isn’t just about getting money for the Michigan Parkinson Foundation (although that is a very important part of it); it is also a time to support and cheer on those persons in our area who are living with and thriving in spite of Parkison’s.

You will be able to register starting at 9 a.m. You can participate solo or team up with family, friends, or co-workers.
To learn more, contact the Michigan Parkinson Foundation at 248-433-1011, 800-852-9781 or send an e-mail to mpfoffice@aol.com.
