In celebration of Macomb County’s rich heritage, the Macomb Foundation will honor individuals who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to building the community of Macomb County at the 2006 Macomb Hall of Fame celebration on Tuesday, December 5. Festivities will include a reception, silent auction, dinner and an honorary program. The event will be held at Penna’s of Sterling in Sterling Heights.

The confirmed 2006 Macomb Hall of Fame honorees are:

  • Joe Dumars, President of Basketball Operations, Detroit Pistons

  • The Honorable Mark A. Hackel, Sheriff, Macomb County

  • Anthony J. Viviano, Owner, Sterling Heights Dodge

  • The Honorable Nancy M. White, Chair, Macomb County Board of Commissioners

 "The Macomb Hall of Fame is the premiere event for Macomb County’s business community and is a sell-out four years running," said Peter J. Lucido, Chairperson of the Macomb Hall of Fame committee and lead attorney for his law firm, Peter J. Lucido, P.C. "It’s also a unique venue in which to network with 500 of southeastern Michigan’s business and civic leaders."

Funds raised by the event will enable the educational and community support programs of the Macomb Foundation to continue throughout 2007.

Tickets for the Macomb Hall of Fame celebration are $175 per person.
